Moss Walls are a versatile, durable and creative option when a green impact is desired. Our projects are diverse and collaborative, using many types and colors of mosses as well as other natural elements to accent and enhance. We work with olivewood, manzanita branches, wooden flowers, fungi, acorns, preserved ferns, leaves, shells  and lichens. Biophilic design makes interiors more appealing and helps workers be more creative and productive in collaborative spaces.

We create our own custom  wood frames in squares, rectangles and hexagons, which can be hardwood or softwood and sealed, stained or painted.  We work with local metal workers for rounds or ovals, as well as other special effects.  Our projects come to us through interior designers , architects and general contractors, as well as directly from clients.

Because we install our own work across lower Michigan,  saving the cost of crating and shipping, our options are usually more cost effective and better tailored to the project.

We can work from an inspiration photo, from a builder’s specification or can create a totally custom design based on interviewing the clients. We can add a company name or logo in moss when space allows. We provide a dry layout for approval before gluing to be sure we are interpreting the vision of the designers and clients.

Lead times vary based on prior commitments and season. Larger projects often require multiple design meetings with design professionals working on the project, so several months of lead time allows for ideas to be quoted and discussed before a decision is finalized and deposit billed.

These art pieces require no watering, temperature regulation or cleaning. Reindeer moss, used for many of these projects, is inherently flame retardant. We have clients with displays over a decade in use. We have work displayed in homes, vacation homes, hospitals, corporate offices, medical practices, hotels, restaurants, associations, atria, research facilities, interior design showrooms and universities.
